Strange But True
In 1912, the Titanic 1) hit an iceberg and sank in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Strangely enough, Morgan Robertson 2) had written a novel, Futility, describing a similar event fourteen years before the Titanic sank. Robertson 3) had called the ship in his book the Titan. In the novel, the best engineers 4) had made the Titan and people 5) believed it was unsinkable. Surprisingly, the Titan also struck an iceberg and sank while it 6) was travelling across the ocean. Both the Titanic and the Titan 7) had been carrying a similar number of passengers during their voyage. Also, both ships met with disaster in the month of April. Had Robertson predicted the future, or was it all just a strange coincidence?
